I am an avid fitness enthusiast who enjoys nearly every sport, especially football. I began weightlifting in high school and have found it to be a fantastic way to stay healthy and active. Running has been a passion since childhood, and over the years, I’ve participated in marathons, a 60km ultra-marathon, I ran for the cross-country team at WWU, and even completed a half Ironman in May 2024. During the winter months, I love spending weekends in the mountains snowboarding. Outside of sports and fitness, I enjoy spending time outdoors, leatherworking, drawing, playing board games, cooking, and baking. I have become a bit of a nomad in recent years, living on both the west coast and east coast, but I grew up in a small rural town in California and consider the PNW my home. My love for problem-solving started early—I’ve always been good with math and science. In sixth grade, I decided I wanted to be an engineer, although at the time, I thought civil engineering was my path, unaware of the vast range of engineering fields. It wasn’t until high school, where I worked in the computer lab at a boarding academy, that I developed a fascination with technology. My family hadn’t been particularly tech-savvy, so I learned a lot in that first year, and that’s when I knew computer engineering was the direction I wanted to take. I pursued this interest through college and now I get to work in a field I truly enjoy.
